Gannon Laboratory Pesticide and Trace Element Environmental Fate and Behavior Research
Welcome to the Pesticide and Trace Element Fate and Behavior Research group at NC State University led by Dr. Travis Gannon. We conduct research in various agronomic systems with the overarching goal of understanding mechanisms and processes that affect pesticide and trace element fate and behavior in the environment. Pesticide drift, volatility, runoff and other forms of off-target movement are serious issues that often have significant impacts on land managers. Understanding factors that affect this as well as steps to take in these scenarios is important. Information from our research helps land managers effectively manage resources and inputs in an environmentally-responsible manner.
